Terms of Service
Last updated 11 October 2026 · FinanceDuo is provided by Corobis
These terms are the agreement between you and FinanceDuo for using the FinanceDuo web app and the iOS and Android apps. Please read them — by creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.
1. About these terms
FinanceDuo (the "Service") is provided by Corobis ("we", "us"). These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Cookie Policy, apply to every version of the Service. If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply to the download and to any purchase you make there.
2. What FinanceDuo is — and isn't
FinanceDuo is a personal finance tracker. You can record wallets, income, expenses, transfers, subscriptions and goals, view insights about your spending, and share expenses with other people in groups.
- It is not a bank or payment service. FinanceDuo does not hold, move or transfer money. "Transfers" and "settle up" features only record what you tell us; any real payment happens outside the Service.
- It is not financial advice. Insights, goal projections, loan and debt calculations and any other figures are estimates based on the data you enter and are for information only. Talk to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
- Exchange rates are indicative. Currency conversions use third-party rates that are refreshed periodically and may differ from the rate your bank applies.
- You are responsible for your records. The Service is only as accurate as the data you put in. Keep your own copies of anything important — the export feature is there for that.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use FinanceDuo.
- Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your email address up to date — we use it to send account and security messages.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our own failure. Tell us straight away at support@finance-duo.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person per account. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
4. Shared groups
When you create or join a group, the other members can see your name, email address and the expenses, splits and balances recorded in that group. Only invite people you know and want to share this with. Group owners can edit the group and remove members. Expenses you added to a group may remain visible to other members after you leave, so their balances stay correct.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, including fraud or money laundering;
- upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware;
- harass other users, or use group invitations to spam people;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or probe, scan or overload our systems;
- circumvent plan limits, reward mechanisms or in-app purchase checks;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the Service, except where the law expressly allows it.
7. Your content
Everything you enter — financial records, notes, attachments — remains yours. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it only so we can provide the Service to you and to the group members you share it with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that other group members still rely on as described above.
8. Our intellectual property
The FinanceDuo name, logo, apps, website and their design and code belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in line with these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep FinanceDuo available, but it may occasionally be unavailable — for example during scheduled maintenance, when you will see a maintenance notice. We may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a paying Premium subscriber gets, we will tell you in advance.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if required by law, or if the account has been inactive for a long period — we will give you notice and a chance to export your data where reasonably possible. On closure, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be suitable for any particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or decisions you make based on the Service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or EUR 50 if you have not paid anything).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights that consumer law in your country gives you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account before the change applies.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly. You may also be able to use an out-of-court consumer dispute resolution body in your country.
14. Additional terms for the iOS app
If you use FinanceDuo on an Apple device: these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims, nor for any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
